Introducing WEA MC Natasha Mitchell

Bio

Natasha Mitchell is a multi-award winning radio host, journalist, and podcaster with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC). She presents and produces the weekly culture and science program, Science Friction, on ABC RN and is well known for her influential broadcasting on mental health, neuroscience, and psychology. Natasha has presented flagship national radio programs including Life Matters (2012-2016) and she was founding presenter & producer of All in the Mind for a decade.  She served as vice president of the World Federation of Science Journalists, was recipient of a prestigious MIT Knight Fellowship, and her work has been recognised with the New York Radio Festivals’ Grand Prize and four Gold World Medals, four Australian and New Zealand Mental Health Media awards, amongst others. 

Natasha is a mentor for Science & Technology Australia's Superstars of STEM initiative, and was co-editor of Best Australian Science Writing 2013. She regularly hosts at events and conferences across Australia, including 4 dialogues with the Dalai Lama and leading scientists. She has an engineering degree, and a postgraduate diploma in science communication.
