For individuals who hold overseas psychology qualifications, seeking employment in Australia and do not plan to work as a registered psychologist.
Employers may request the APS assessment to work in higher education or fields related to psychology (such as research, human resources, social services) where registration as a psychologist may not be required.
Psychology is a regulated profession in Australia and "Psychologist" is a protected title. If you want to work as a psychologist, you must be registered with the Psychology Board of Australia. Please contact the Psychology Board of Australia for more information.
