Dr Catriona Davis-McCabe is a Counselling Psychologist and Fellow of the APS and APS College of Counselling Psychologists. She has worked as an academic for the last 13 years, as a Senior Lecturer and then Program Director of postgraduate psychology programs, training future psychologists in both the UK and Australia.  Catriona is research active in the field and has published in peer-reviewed journals. She supervises psychology honours and PhD students.  Catriona also runs a private clinical practice offering psychological assessment and treatment. She has worked in various psychology settings including the Health Department, prison service and private clinics. Throughout her career, Catriona has always worked as both an academic and practitioner.

Catriona is the past National Chair of the APS College of Counselling Psychologists and has served as a General Committee Member and Chair-Elect.

Dr Sara Quinn is an experienced leader working with individuals, organisations, and communities. Her expertise are diverse including: Board Director (Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors), company founder and director, owner of a private practice, academic roles of lecturer (undergraduate and postgraduate psychology masters and PhD programs), researcher, and supervisor, and experience working within Federal government agencies in organisational, clinical, and executive roles (as a consultant and employee managing psychological services and large multidisciplinary teams across Australia).

Sara is an endorsed clinical psychologist, Fellow of the Clinical College, and has previously held numerous APS committee positions. She currently holds the clinical role on a local health promotion charity and is the chair of scientific programs in a Federal Government agency. Her clinical practice is focussed on organisational risk, leadership, and trauma and her academic research into cognitive development has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented internationally.

Stacy is a psychologist and long-term APS member running a private practice in Unley, South Australia.

Stacy’s particular interest area is the mental health of veterans, current serving members and first responders. Stacy has been involved in research into the effectiveness of various treatment programs with contributions made to journal publications.

Stacy has significant leadership experience having managed one of Adelaide’s premier outpatient psychiatric hospitals for ten years. In this role, Stacy trained and supervised many psychologists and other mental health clinicians and collaborated effectively with various stakeholders.

Tamara Cavenett has substantial expertise in both professional and organisational leadership. Currently in private practice, she previously held senior management positions, including managing Adelaide’s leading private outpatient psychiatric hospital. This included supervision of, and responsibility for a multidisciplinary team, as well as full responsibility for all operations; managing all non-clinical staff departments, corporate governance and accreditation.

An experienced Board Director and Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD), Tamara holds Director positions for Mental Health Australia (MHA) and Adelaide Primary Health Care Network (APHN) and has previously been President of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).

Tamara holds endorsement in clinical psychology, is a Fellow of the APS, a Fellow of the Clinical College, an Advisory Board Member for the Master of Clinical Psychology Program (Uni SA), clinical governing council member for Gidget Foundation and has previously held numerous committee positions within the APS.

Bianca is an Early Career Clinical Psychologist from Melbourne. She has been a member of the APS for over 10 years, and has been actively involved in various committees.

Bianca runs an online psychology telehealth practice with a particular focus on chronic illness and neurodivergence. She also delivers training and supervision in this area, and more broadly supervises provisional and registrar psychologists. Her experience spans private, public and community mental health settings, within Australia and internationally. Bianca also contributes actively to advocacy efforts to improve the lives of those living with chronic illness and/or disability.

She has held various leadership roles within the APS, and is the past Victorian State Branch Chair, Outer Eastern Melbourne Branch Chair, and Secretary of the Rehabilitation of Injury, Chronic Illness and Pain Interest Group.

Elizabeth Kennedy is a practising lawyer with expertise in health and medical law. She has worked as a lawyer in the public and private health sector for many years and advised and acted for hospitals and health professionals in that capacity.

Elizabeth was appointed to the APS Board for her sound knowledge of corporate governance and risk management. She is a Director of Western Health, East Melbourne Primary Health Network, a legal member of the Victorian Pharmacy Authority and a member of the Council of Janet Clarke Hall.

Judy is a Psychologist and Director of a Private Practice in Perth.

Judy has particular interest and experience in rural, regional, and remote psychology.  She has held senior management positions in government, not for profit and private practice sectors.

She is a Fellow of the APS with over 25 years of experience volunteering in various roles across the society.  This includes the State Chair for Western Australia and the State Representative for the Division of General Practice.  She has trained and supervised many psychologists and mental health practitioners. 

Judy was the recipient of the inaugural award for Significant Contribution to Psychology in Australia, as proposed by the Division of APS Professional Psychology.

Mark is an experienced senior finance executive and Non-executive Director. Much of his early career was in executive finance for the manufacturing sector (Australia and international).

Upon his return to Australia, Mark worked with Reckitt & Colman (now Reckitt Benckiser), Hitachi Data systems, Victa lawnmowers and ASX listed Medical Australian Limited. In recent years, Mark has focussed on governance roles and served as the Company Secretary and Executive General Manager of Governance, Risk and Compliance for RSL LifeCare Limited (and Australian top 100 aged care provider) from 2017 to 2019.

Mark sits on the Board of Link Wentworth Housing Limited, a social and affordable housing provider. He chaired their Risk and Audit Committee from 2013 to 2021 and served as their Company Secretary from 2016 to 2017.

Katrina is a Counselling and Clinical Psychologist, Fellow of the College of Counselling Psychologists and Fellow of the College of Clinical Psychologists. She has been a member of the APS for about 25 years.

Katrina owns and works in a private practice in rural Victoria.  She is currently completing a PhD exploring intergenerational trauma in transitioned veteran families, under scholarship of Australian Rotary Health, Rotary District 9790 and the Victorian RSL (Darebin). Katrina has an interest in PTSD, Complex PTSD and intergenerational trauma, women's mental health and supervision of provisional and registrar psychologists. She has worked across public, NGO and private mental health services in clinician, management and consultancy roles.

Katrina is past Conference Chair and National Chair of the APS College of Counselling Psychologists.

Monica has been an active member of the APS for over 15 years. She is a psychologist, academic, and researcher, chairs the Department of Psychological Sciences at Swinburne University, and runs a small private practice for young people.

Monica is an internationally recognised scholar, specifically in relation to the mental health and wellbeing of vulnerable populations and strength-based approaches for supporting student and teacher wellbeing. Over time, Monica’s community-connected research has served as important evidence for submissions and advocacy campaigns by the Australian Psychological Society and other public sector and community organisations in Commonwealth Royal Commissions and State or Territory Inquiries. Monica’s research has also been the subject of major parliamentary speeches and efforts to influence policy reform in Australia.

Monica has held a number of discipline-connected leadership positions. She is an active member of the Australian Indigenous Psychology Education Project, working towards structural changes in universities to Indigenise curriculum and increase the number of Indigenous psychology student graduates.

Paul Flanagan has more than 30 years’ experience as a psychologist, and 20 years’ experience as a company director in private sector companies. He is an endorsed organisational psychologist after having an early career in clinical and counselling psychology. Paul was a founder of Davidson Trahaire Corpsych, a national EAP and Consulting firm, and the Employee Assistance Professionals Association of Australia. During his career Paul has also been on government advisory bodies and has worked internationally in employee psychological health. He is currently a Director of Executive Health Solutions, a corporate health service, and Life Street, an employee assistance and wellbeing company.

Zena Burgess is an experienced non-executive Director and Chief Executive Officer with significant experience across commercial and social enterprise organisations. She holds a PhD in Organisational Psychology and Master’s Degrees in Business Administration and Education. Zena was awarded Fellowship of the Australian Institute of Company Directors in 2013. 

Prior to joining the APS in 2020, Zena was the Chief Executive Officer of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) for 11 years. During that time she oversaw a transformation of the RACGP to be the largest, most influential and innovative medical college in Australia. Zena has a passion for building human capability in individuals, organisations and systems. Zena has driven new strategic directions and change implementation, achieving a culture of high-performance and innovation in organisations.
