Christine Boag-Hodgson

Organisational Psychologist @ Griffith University

Christine is an Organisational Psychologist and has been a member of the Australian Psychological Society for over 20 years. She is also a Fellow of the College of Organisational Psychologists, a Psychology Board of Australia approved supervisor and holds membership with the Human Factors Ergonomics Society (US), International and Australian Societies of Air Safety Investigators and the Australian Aviation Psychology Association. After lecturing at the University of Queensland while completing her PhD (Organisational Psychology), Christine’s industry career commenced with the Australian Transport Safety Bureau as a Senior Transport Safety Investigator, investigating aviation, marine and rail accidents/incidents. She then moved to Airservices Australia where she held a number of management and senior management roles within safety, human factors and training. Since 2003, Christine has also been the Director for her consultancy, Humanology.  In 2015 she commenced an academic appointment in the School of Applied Psychology at Griffith University where she lectures into their postgraduate organisational psychology program and is also the Organisational Psychology Placement Coordinator. Christine’s extensive industry experience in aviation psychology, human factors, automation, incident investigation and safety management have translated into her research areas of interest, incorporating the link between human expertise and performance.
