APS Interest Group
Overview
The APS EMDR Special Interest Group is proud to present another EMDR Group Consultation.
As an interest group, we are committed to providing our members with affordable access to high-quality consultation from experienced EMDR consultants.
This group consultation is designed to support therapists who have completed their basic training and are now working towards EMDR practitioner accreditation.
In line with EMDRAA guidelines, each group will be limited to a maximum of 4 participants to ensure a quality and supportive learning environment.
We look forward to supporting your EMDR journey through these collaborative and enriching consultation sessions.
Please prepare a clinical case or question to bring to the consultation session.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this group consultation, participants will be able to:-
- Enhance their clinical insight and direction in working with EMDR cases through feedback and discussion.
- Deepen their theoretical and practical understanding of EMDR therapy within a supportive and collaborative peer environment.
- Build confidence and competence in the application of EMDR across a range of clinical presentations.

Ms. Pam Saunders-Ward
About the presenter(s)
Pam Saunders-Ward is an AHPRA-registered psychologist and board-approved supervisor, as well as a Level 4 counsellor with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA). With over two decades of experience in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Pam began using EMDR 23 years ago and achieved consultant accreditation in Europe and the UK for work with children, adolescents, and adults. After returning to Australia in 2017, she transferred her consultant accreditation to EMDRAA and has since actively supported practitioners through EMDR training and accreditation pathways.
Pam’s academic background includes serving as a senior lecturer at two UK universities, specialising in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT). In Australia, she worked with the Department of Justice and Community Safety – Corrections Victoria as a clinician and Forensic Clinical Team Leader, providing interventions for individuals convicted of violent and sexual offences in both community and custodial settings.
Currently, Pam operates a thriving private practice in Lilydale, Victoria, focusing on trauma and neurodiversity. She delivers at least 15 hours of EMDR therapy weekly and is an NDIS-registered.
Notes
Registration includes a 2-hour group consultation session with an EMDRAA accredited consultant.
Target Audience
This event is aimed at therapists have completed basic training and who are now working towards their EMDR practitioner accreditation.
Duration of Access
This event will not be recorded.
Please note:
- This is a Member Groups event. All communication will be sent to the registrants’ registered email address. This includes event reminders with details (such as the Zoom link) and any pre-event or post-event resources, if provided by the facilitators.
- A post-event email will be sent within two weeks of the event’s completion to each registrant’s registered email address. This email will include the CPD certificate, and any additional resources shared during the session.
CPD
It is up to attendees to assess and determine how learning from this event aligns with the requirements of their learning plan. The providers accordingly do not make any representation that the event counts towards attendees’ CPD learning requirements. If an attendee determines themselves that the learning they complete aligns to their learning plan, then they can decide to count those hours towards their CPD requirements for the registration cycle.
