Organiser Banner

Overview

The webinar will provide an overview of an emerging public health issue. Screen use is increasing and there are only vague guidelines on what is appropriate usage. This is especially so for children, who tend to be vulnerable to overusing screens.

The webinar will cover screen addiction and guiding best practice, especially for parents, more specifically, it will focus on:

  • skills in assessment and treatment of screen use,

  • underlying influences, client vulnerabilities and how mental health issues contribute to overusing screens,

  • screen addiction which is an emerging public health issue, and

  • use of positive modelling to help children vulnerable to addiction.
