The APS is committed to promoting interprofessional collaborative practice as essential to high-quality, coordinated and holistic care. We commend Ahpra's proposed Interprofessional Collaborative Practice Statement of Intent as broad-reaching and aspirational. Yet, we suggest that the statement articulate how shared goals and values will be operationalised and evaluated. Otherwise, the statement risks being perceived as being too abstract and lacking the accountability necessary to see meaningful change, especially as it pertains to reducing health inequities throughout our communities. The submission offers specific suggestions for improvement.
