APS Response to the Inquiry into the WorkCover Scheme Modernisation Bill 2023

The APS is generally supportive of the WorkCover Compensation Scheme and its aim to deliver expert and quality care to people who sustain a work related injury. This Inquiry sought feedback on the proposed changes to the Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Amendment (WorkCover Scheme Modernisation) Act 2023 (Scheme Modernisation Act). The APS submission provides feedback on key areas of the Scheme Modernisation, including the proposed definition of mental injury, eligibility of job stress and burnout claims, and the establishment of Return to Work Victoria.
