This submission reviews the draft guidance on developing professional capabilities that was developed by the independently chaired Accreditation Committee (the committee). The purpose of the draft guidance is to foster good practice and enhance efficiency and consistency in the development of new or revised professional capabilities across health professions regulated under the National Scheme. This submission responds to specific consultation questions regarding the draft guidance. These questions focus on the need to add or amend content, implementation issues, unintended consequences, governance, and issues regarding capabilities that may be shared across professions.
