Overview
The Midwest Branch of the APS are pleased to invite you to attend Engagement and psychological assessments with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) people. This training aims to support psychologists to understand the core impacts on ATSI populations' social and emotional wellbeing, identify skills and strategies to engage ATSI clients and families in psychological assessment.
It also provides an overview of best practice assessment and intervention/s with ATSI clients and families.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this event, participants should be able to:

Ms. Shannon McNeair
About the presenter(s)
Shannon is a proud and respected Malgana woman from Shark Bay, Western Australia. She currently lives and works in Geraldton, Western Australia. She has had a rewarding career, having lived and worked in the remote Northwest of Western Australia, where she developed solid working relationships with remote communities and provided comprehensive psychological assessment and clinical services to children and families in contact with the WA Child Protection service.

Target Audience
This event is aimed at all levels of Psychologists who are working with, or wanting to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
