his engaging two-part webinar offers a comprehensive exploration of attachment theory and aims to provide participants with an understanding of how attachment processes underpin specific childhood presentations and personality and relational issues for clients across the lifespan.
You'll also learn how to apply attachment theory to case conceptualisation and intervention, with a focus on the therapeutic relationship as an attachment experience in itself.

This session will demonstrate how to use attachment theory to conceptualise client presentations and guide therapeutic interventions, with consideration of how attachment dynamics unfold within the therapy room itself.

Kendall Coburn MAPS
About the presenter(s)
Kendall Coburn is a highly experienced Clinical Psychologist with over 30 years experience. She has worked predominately with children, adolescents and their parents and families. Her special interests are Attachment Theory, Complex Trauma, Clinical Supervision, and Psychological Training.
Kendall developed a wealth of experience in private practice, as well as various clinical settings within Queensland Health, including Child Development Service and Child and Youth Mental Health Services (CYMHS). It is within these environments that Kendall grew her clinical knowledge and skills in working with children and families experiencing trauma and/or attachment disruptions. Kendall was part of the development team that established the Infant Mental Health Service within CYMHS. (It is noteworthy that at the time, attachment and infant mental health were widely disregarded in the field of child psychopathology).
For the latter half of her career, Kendall was the Clinic Lead at Griffith University. In this role, she coordinated the Psychology Clinic and provided clinical supervision to post-graduate students. She also was heavily involved in the development and delivery of the internship training curriculum.
A Fellow of the College of Clinical Psychologists (APS), Kendall is committed to advancing the field through her work in clinical supervision, training early career psychologists, and promoting evidence-based/theory informed clinical practice.
