Wellbeing and you

Organiser Banner

Overview

Wellbeing and you is not the standard ‘you need to take care of yourself’ course. We don’t want to tell you things you already know. But we do want to provide some space for you to consider what self-care truly means, for you, for the people you work and care for, and the value of self-care in our day-to-day lives.

The first topic What does self-care actually mean? will explore a range of concepts and theories of self-care, offering a fresh take on a well-known construct.

Topic 2 What does self care mean to you? will focus on the individual approaches to self-care, underscoring the importance of recognising self-care in your life.

Topic 3 Recognising the signs of burnout will delve into the cognitive physical, social and other key indicators of burnout, with a focus on understanding early warning signs and why these might signal a need for self-care practices.

Topic 4 What can we do? And how do we keep it up? will explore ideas regarding self-care strategies and practices, and how to incorporate self-care in a meaningful and sustainable way to day-to-day life.
