Case Conference

Overview

The Victorian sector of the College of Clinical Neuropsychologists is pleased to invite members to an upcoming case conference. 

This case conference will discuss an adolescent who presented with an unclear neurodevelopmental and personality profile following a suspected first episode of psychosis within a tertiary mental health setting, with a focus on differential diagnostic clarification between medical, personality, and/or neurodevelopmental explanations for their presentation.

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this event, participants should be able to:

  • Understand and appreciate the impact of trauma and unidentified neurodivergence on the body and the mind.
  • Distinguish between psychotic symptoms, neurodevelopmental traits, and personality traits
  • Identify appropriate supports for young people presenting with complex medical, mental health, and neurodevelopmental needs.

Target Audience

This event is aimed at at neuropsychologists and neuropsychologists in training.
