Yarning, Learning, and Dining: Exploring Cultural Safety and Self-Determination in Practice

Overview

Join us for a meaningful evening of connection, conversation, and professional growth.

Over a delicious two-course dinner, come and have a yarn as we explore the journey a Student Support Services team has taken to better understand and put into practice Indigenous self-determination.

This interactive professional development event will also dive into Competency 8: Demonstrating a health equity and human rights approach when working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples, families, and communities.

This is not a presentation of solutions, but a work-in-progress workshop - a safe space to share, reflect, and grapple with the real challenges we all face in this important work. Whether you're just beginning or deeply embedded in this journey, your insights and questions are welcome.

Come for the feed, stay for the learning, and leave with a stronger sense of purpose and connection.
