APS Far North Queensland 2-day event 2025

Overview

APS Far North Queensland is proud to present the second in a series of events that showcase Far North Queensland's best psychologists and psychiatrists. The event will provide in depth and up to date knowledge of the latest psychological interventions and treatments for various conditions such as covert prescribing of psychotropic medication, use of psychotropic medicine in combination with psychological intervention as well as latest updates on current treatments for Functional Neurological disorder. The event will also be an opportunity to see what is happening in rural communities and updates on interventions with Australia's first nations population with a variety of guest speakers who are experts in the field.

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this event, participants should be able to:

  • Gain a greater understanding about upcoming use of psychotropic medication and psychological intervention.
  • Learn the latest psychological treatments for Functional Neurological disorder
  • Get up to date with the latest in treatment planning for Australia's First Nation People, as well as a chance to hear firsthand about being an indigenous psychologist.

This activity is aimed at psychologists and health professionals.
