Overview

Psychology practices handle highly sensitive personal and health information, making them attractive targets for cyber criminals. This webinar builds on foundational cyber security concepts and focuses on the top five cyber threats most likely to impact psychology practices today.

Drawing on insights from the Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC), Harvey Norman Technology for Business, a technology services and solutions provider, can assist psychologists and practice owners, through this webinar and will:

  • explain how common attacks occur and the reasons why health and mental health providers are at heightened risk,
  • explore the reasonable steps practices can take to reduce risk,
  • link cyber security risk to professional obligations, privacy expectations, and practice continuity,
  • provide psychologists with practical, non‑technical guidance relevant to everyday practice operations.
