2024 Annual General Meeting Outcome

The APS held its Annual General Meeting on Tuesday 19 November 2024. 

APS members considered two ordinary resolutions.  Ordinary resolutions are carried when 50% or more of member votes cast are in their favour: 

Agenda Item 5: Ordinary Resolution – Director Remuneration 

That, with effect from the end of this AGM and pursuant to clause 72(d) of the APS Constitution, Director fees (excluding superannuation) will increase by 4.0% as set out in the Explanatory Note. 

Carried with 65.08% voting in favour. 

Agenda Item 6: Ordinary Resolution - Establishment of a Functional Neurological Disorder and Psychology Interest Group 

That, pursuant to clause 44(a) of the APS Constitution, the APS establishes a Functional Neurological Disorder and Psychology Interest Group. 

Carried with 97.06% voting in favour. 

The results of the 2024 Board of Directors election were announced. The successful candidates were: 

Kathryn Kallady   General Director – Division of Colleges (excluding Clinical) 
Andrew Chua  General Director – Division of Professional Psychology
