2020 Annual General Meeting

The first virtual APS Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held on Friday 16 October, with more than 200 members in attendance.

The AGM included presentations from the President, President-Elect, Chief Executive Officer, and Chair of the Finance, Investment and Audit Committee.

APS members considered three motions to amend the Constitution.

Motion 1: Amendment to the criteria for the grade of Fellow

Passed with 97.39% voting in favour.

Motion 2: Amendment to the APS Financial Year from 31 May to 30 June

Passed with 98.13% voting in favor.

Motion 3: That the Board Year between the AGM for the Financial Year ending May 2021 and the AGM for the Financial Year ending 30 June (the transition year) shall not be counted as a Board Year for any director holding a Board position at that time.

Passed with 98.14% voting in favor.

The results of the 2020 Board of Directors election were also announced.

The successful candidates were:

  • Mr Andrew Chua MAPS – General Director, Division of General Psychological Practice
  • Mr Anthony Cichello FAPS – General Director, APS Division of Colleges, College of Clinical Psychologists
  • Dr Sara Quinn MAPS – General Director, Early Career
