Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this webinar, participants should be able to:

• identify transference and countertransference patterns specific to psychedelic-assisted therapy,

• apply a translational approach to integration that helps clients embed dosing-session material into lasting psychological and behavioural change, and

• articulate their role and scope as a psychologist working alongside an Authorised Prescriber, including how to maintain relational continuity and manage boundaries across a multidisciplinary treatment team.

Monica Schweickle, GACID, MAAPi, Clinical Psychologist Co-CEO and Director The Psychedelic Consultancy and Peridot Clinic
Monica is an MDMA and psilocybin-assisted therapist with 20 years of experience across diverse mental health settings. After setting up Australia's first legal psychedelic therapy programs in 2023, she co-founded The Psychedelic Consultancy which supports psychiatrists and clinicians to provide trauma-informed PAT to their patients, in their communities. Over the past 18 months, The Psychedelic Consultancy has supported approximately two thirds of Australia's Authorised Prescribers with protocol development, application and regulatory support, training and supervision.
Since 2023, Monica has worked with multiple Authorised Prescribers to treat their first patients, across several Australian states including regional areas. Monica also co-founded Peridot Clinic, which provides medicine-assisted therapy and EMDR intensives in Melbourne and Newcastle, as well as supervised dosing and placements for psychologists, therapists and psychiatrists new to this work. She is known for her practical and collaborative approach, drawing on extensive experience in mental health program directorship and development.
Her clinical background spans federal and state government mental health services, private practice, veterans and their families, domestic and family violence survivors, and adult survivors of childhood trauma. She is also a Psychology Board-approved supervisor, EMDR Consultant, yoga and meditation teacher.
