Overview
Behavioural Interventions for Sleep Problems in Children is designed for psychologists working with children aged 3-12 years and their families.
Sleep difficulties affect up to 40% of typically developing children and are even more common among autistic children and children with ADHD.
Through the stories of a 4-year-old, an 8-year-old and a neurodivergent 12-year-old, participants will learn how to assess sleep concerns, develop sleep-focused case formulations, identify referral indicators, and implement evidence-based behavioural sleep strategies.
This activity requires no prior expertise in sleep, and includes practical tools, worksheets, and intervention resources, that can be used immediately in practice.
Psychologists who successfully complete the activity can add their details to a national register of trained practitioners.
