Compensable care

Psychologists are frequently involved in providing services to people who have experienced a compensible injury such as following an injury at work or a transport accident.

The APS advocates for changes to the compensable care systems in each jurisdiction to:

  • improve the quality of care for clients, including timely access to appropriate psychological services, and
  • to ensure appropriate fee structures and conditions for psychologists that recognises the complexity of the work and the expertise required and enables evidence-based services to be delivered to clients.
