In legal proceedings, we use scientifically based principles to assess a client, collect evidence that relates to the psychology of the person, and table a report. The report is then used in evidence.
You would engage a forensic psychologist for areas that include but are not limited to child protection, family services, alcohol and other substance abuse, rehabilitation services (such as pain clinics or head injury services), and research.
