We offer support and guidance to members to clarify practice and ethical issues including patient confidentiality, regulatory requirements, contracting and working with third party providers.

This service is not an emergency service. If the situation is an emergency, please contact your appropriate local emergency service. This is not a supervision service.  We can provide general advice, to support your own clinical decision making.  We do not offer specific clinical advice about specific cases. 

Our team is made up of experienced psychologists who have skills and experience in a wide range of areas. When contacting us, we ask that you provide a brief description of the issue to ensure we can respond to you effectively, as soon as possible.

Although we cannot provide legal advice of any kind, there are other options available.

Legal advice through your professional indemnity insurer
If you have professional indemnity insurance through Aon, you can access legal advice via the legal helpline.  Other insurers offer similar services.

Access up to 20 minutes of free legal advice
APS members can access up to 20 minutes of free legal advice provided by Kennedys lawyers, covering most business needs for legal advice, including employment, workplace relations, and medico-legal matters. The service does not include criminal law advice. Kennedy's require that you first utilise legal advice through your PII before you are eligible to access their service. More information can be found here.

Business, tax and accounting advice

APS members can access up to 60 minutes of free strategic advice provided by chartered accounting firm DFK Benjamin King Money, covering general business affairs, structuring, cloud accounting systems and any other relevant tax considerations. More information can be found here.
