Divisions

Divisions bring together key sectors of the APS to influence decision-making and activities that advance the discipline and practice of psychology. Definitions for Divisions can be found in the APS Constitution.

Division of Colleges means the Member Group, comprising Members of the Society who are also members of a College.

Division of Early Career means the Member Unit comprising Members of the Society who commenced paid employment involving the discipline or profession of psychology within the last seven (7) years.

Division of Professional Psychology (or "DPP") means the Member Group comprising Members of the Society who are registered to practice as psychologists but who are not members of a College.

Division of Psychological Research, Education and Training (or DPRET) means the Member Group comprising Members of the Society who are principally engaged in research, formal teaching or another scholarly undertaking in a field of psychology for or in conjunction with an education institution and/or research institution.

Division of Early Career

This member group is made up of those who commenced paid employment in the psychology profession within the last seven (7) years.

Division of Professional Psychology

Bringing together non-College practising psychologists.

Division of Psychological Research, Education and Training

Supporting psychologists working in academia, research centres, training institutions, and secondary education.
