Events RSS

What is RSS?

RSS (Real Simple Syndication) is a web standard for publishing regular updates of web-based content. It allows you to identify the content you like and have it delivered directly to you, saving you the need to visit multiple sites to find the latest updates.

Why use RSS?

RSS saves time - The CPD and Events Finder uses RSS to deliver the latest events listings. So instead of browsing the CPD and Events Finder, RSS automatically tells you when new events are listed.

RSS puts the power in your hands - You only receive the information you are interested in. We do not collect any information—including email addresses—from subscriptions to our RSS feed.

How do I get started?

The first thing you need is an RSS news reader. There are two main types of readers - installable desktop programs and web-based services.

There are many readers available. Different readers work on different operating systems, so you will need to take this into account. Some browsers have functionality that automatically displays RSS feeds while others required a plugin to do this. For more details on these, please check the browser websites. If you use a mail client such as Microsoft Outlook, you can also use it to read the feed. Please check the mail client website for more information on how to do this.

How do I subscribe to the CPD and Events Finder RSS feed?

Once you have installed the reader or subscribed to a web-based reader, follow its instructions to subscribe to the CPD and Events Finder RSS feed.

Copy and paste this URL of the RSS feed into your news reader.

Note: Internet Explorer version 6 and below will not display RSS / XML files. To view the RSS / XML when using IE, right click the link or the orange button and save the RSS file to your computer. You can then open it in a text editor or other similar program.
