Psychologists along with other social and behavioural scientists have been identifying and addressing these barriers for the past three decades. Hence there is a considerable body of conceptual and empirical work and distilled best practice which can inform interventions and policies.
What psychology has to offer is not limited to our expertise with respect to effective behavioural change, risk communication and management. There is also a rich body of evidence and practice-based wisdom for assisting people in coping with and adapting to climate-related threats and environmental and life circumstance changes.
