Pre-Budget submission 2018-19

The APS contributed to the Federal Government’s 2018-19 Budget planning, following the annual call for pre-Budget submissions.

The APS focus is on opportunities to reduce healthcare expenditure by fully utilising and maximising the skills and expertise of the largest highly trained mental health workforce.

Our submission called for the Federal Government to:

  1. Re-invest in community based mental health services in Australia
  2. Address mental health needs of older Australians
  3. Prevent and minimise harm to others
