Services Australia has introduced a dedicated phone line for Medicare provider registration enquiries: 1300 302 122.
The new phone line will help providers speak with staff who have the right expertise, without first going through the general enquiries line.
The general enquiries line, 132 150, is still available. Calls to this number will continue to be referred to the right specialist staff where needed.
This change is expected to make it easier for GPs, specialists and allied health professionals to get support with Medicare provider registration matters.
