Increase in online Find a Psychologist service searches

Increase in online Find a Psychologist service searches

Premium performance

  • For just over 12 months the APS has offered both premium and standard listings on its online Find a Psychologist service (findapsychologist.org.au) which combined the previous Medicare Psychology Providers List data with the existing Find a Psychologist practitioners.
  • The average number of daily online searches via the Find a Psychologist Service has continued to increase steadily over the past few years.
  • For the year 2017-18 about 1,900 members opted for a premium listing while around 5,000 had a standard presence. The premium listing offers a detailed profile of the psychologist which allows a search to be undertaken using the client issues dealt with and therapies used, among other options. The psychologist can also use their own unique web address as the profile page. The standard listing allows for a search by name and location only.
For members who currently have a standard listing, you might be interested in taking up a premium listing after 11 February. For $190 you receive up to three and a half months for free, and will be listed until 31 July 2019.
