We are the 2021 Association of the Year

We are proud to share that the APS is the 2021 Association of the Year.

This is a wonderful way to end a challenging year in this pandemic and recognises the hard work of our members and staff.

Our win is a combination of many achievements – in advocacy, social impact, digital transformation, member support, and more. Here is a snapshot:

  • we burst through the 27,000-member milestone, with a 9% increase on last year
  • chalked up many advocacy wins and put forward 30 submissions to government
  • our digital transformation: new app, new website development
  • 150+ media stories across all channels and 100+ COVID incident comms
  • 7,3000 PAS queries and 400,000 accessing Find a Psychologist
  • our winning bid for the International Congress of Psychology in 2028
  • Unpacking Trauma with 1400+ attendees and 25,000 members attending events.

Everyone has played a part as we have come together to continue doing what we love – which is to bring the benefits of psychology to the Australian community.

Our fellow nominees stretched across different industries. This award shows that the work we do in stemming the impacts of the mental health pandemic is reaching beyond the psychology community – and that our work is being noticed.

Thank you to all members and staff who have made this win possible.
