Closes 17 October 2025
We are inviting older adults aged 65 years and over to participate in a research study on reminiscence therapy. This study is being conducted by Avick Rahman, an Honours student at Swinburne University of Technology, under the supervision of Dr Sunil Bhar.
What’s involved?
You will take part in a one-time, online reminiscence activity, where you’ll be asked to reflect on past life experiences using written prompts. This session takes approximately 30 minutes to an hour and can be completed at a time that suits you. You will also be asked to a complete a few brief questionnaires about your mood and life satisfaction before and after the study.
Who can participate?
You are eligible if you:
- Are aged 65 years or older
- Can understand, read and write in English
- Have access to a computer, tablet, or smartphone with internet
- Live in Australia
Why take part?
This research will help us better understand how a single-session online reminiscence activity might support emotional well-being in older adults. While there may be no direct benefit to you, your participation may contribute to the development of low-cost, accessible mental health supports.
Confidentiality:
Your responses will be confidential, and no identifying information will be published. You may withdraw at any time before submitting your responses.
