Division of Psychological Research, Education and Training

Through the Division of Psychological Research, Education and Training (DPRET), psychologists engaged in research, formal teaching or another scholarly undertaking in a field of psychology come together to improve the following areas as a means of ensuring Australians are best supported by psychology:

  1. Improve psychology education and training models for the current and future psychology workforce
  2. Increase support for psychological scientists
  3. Provide the latest evidence-based psychological research to inform best practice of psychology

Interested in being a member of the Division of Psychology Education Research and Training (DPRET)? 
APS members who are principally engaged in research, formal teaching or another scholarly undertaking in a field of psychology for or in conjunction with an education institution and/or research institution are eligible to be a member of DPRET. If you meet this criteria, ensure your personal details are up to date, including your workplace setting and type of work, via your member dashboard. For example, if you work at a university, select Higher education provider as your workplace setting, and your type of work as teaching and training If you need help, our Membership team can help.
