Margaret has worked for more than 30 years as a clinical psychologist including the Senior Psychologist at North Western Mental Health and Royal Melbourne Hospital, Alfred Acute Psychiatry, Box Hill hospital and a member of the Victorian Psychologist's Registration Board. This has given her extensive experience in adult mental health and working with a range of people with complex challenges. When you initially meet, she will seek to understand what brings you looking for help at this time, your circumstances, how you have coped as well as your background. An informed decision can then be made with you as to how to proceed. This could include brief or longer-term therapy and/or other assistance. Once sessions commence, your progress and satisfaction with the therapeutic relationship will be monitored which extensive research shows is central to effective therapy. Margaret also provides professional supervision and critical incident defusing/debriefing to groups or individuals.
