Catherine is a person-centred psychologist supporting people experiencing anxiety/phobias, low mood, stress, insomnia, and trauma/PTSD. She is experienced in working with neurodivergent clients and honours each person's communication styles, sensory needs, and executive functioning differences.
Her practice is shaped by formal training and lived experience and rests on a trauma informed and neuroaffirming framework. She prioritises building a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship where meaningful change and skill development can occur.
Catherine tailors therapy to the needs of each individual, drawing from evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and dialectical behaviour therapy principles. She is trained in delivering trauma-focused CBT and CBT for insomnia, which is the first line treatment for chronic insomnia.
