Catherine is a registered psychologist supporting people experiencing anxiety, trauma/PTSD, low mood, stress, phobias, and insomnia. She has a specific interest in working with neurodivergent people and honours each person's communication styles, sensory needs, and executive functioning differences.
Her practice is shaped by formal training and lived experience and rests on a trauma-informed and neuroaffirming framework that prioritises safety and trust. She believes that we do well when we can, and works alongside clients to deepen self-understanding while supporting practical changes.
Catherine tailors therapy each person's needs, drawing from evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) principles. She is also trained in delivering trauma-focused CBT (TF-CBT), CBT for insomnia (CBTi), and eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing therapy (EMDR).
