Ms Sarah Van De Velde   MAPS
https://psychology.org.au/sarahvandevelde

I believe people are capable of meaningful change, even when we feel stuck or overwhelmed. I work with adults experiencing difficulties, including trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, substance use, anger and emotional dysregulation, relationship difficulties, ADHD, and grief, and many other mental health and life challenges. I also work across forensic and medico-legal contexts, including criminal matters and section 14 mental health assessments.

I bring experience working with complex presentations and take a warm, collaborative approach grounded in trauma-informed and strengths-based principles. I prioritise a strong therapeutic relationship and draw on CBT, DBT, ACT, EMDR, and Schema therapy to understand each person's experience and tailor treatment to their needs and goals.

If you are ready to take that step, I would welcome the opportunity to work with you. Sessions are available in person and via telehealth.
