I�m Dr Kate O�Brien, a Clinical Psychologist with over 13 years� experience supporting people who have been impacted by trauma and life�s challenges. My work is grounded in an understanding of how trauma affects both the mind and body, and in the belief that healing happens best when we feel safe, supported, and understood.
At Embrace Trauma Therapy, I offer evidence-based, compassionate mental health care for people navigating mental health concerns, past trauma, and periods of overwhelm or transition. I take a calm, collaborative approach, working with your nervous system and your lived experience to help you move toward meaningful, lasting change�at a pace that feels right for you.
My work is grounded in trauma-informed, relational, and integrative approaches to therapy. This includes drawing from somatic and nervous system�focused frameworks, alongside evidence-based psychological therapies, such as EMDR, IFS and other parts-work frameworks, and mindfulness practices.
