Medicare Psychologist Provider

Medicare Clinical Psychologist Provider

I am in my sixth year of clinical practice. My work history includes child Care and Protection services, offence-related work, mental health support to Maori children, adolescents, and families and work with survivors of sexual assault. My experience has equipped me to practice with both sensitivity and safety to ones culture and/or diversity needs. I take a non-judgmental, warm, and client centred approach, ensuring I create a setting in which my clients feel safe to be vulnerable without judgement. I ensure my clients goals guide the therapy by working collaboratively, developing a shared treatment plan and valuing input and feedback. My predominant treatment approaches are CBT and ACT and I draw from skills from various other evidence-based approaches. My professional interests include depression and low mood, anxiety, trauma, emotional dysregulation, and navigation of difficult life events/ transitions. I currently work privately in a local clinic and hold a Senior Forensic role.
