Sam is a registered psychologist who is passionate about helping children and teenagers to thrive. She has a warm, empathetic approach and believes that connection is key to building a trusting relationship and beneficial outcomes. Sam's approach to therapy draws from cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), attachment theory and mindfulness.
Sam has experience working with clients who present with anxiety, depression, behavioural difficulties, emotional regulation difficulties, "School can't", anger management, autism (ASD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), pathological demand avoidance (PDA), obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), trauma, selective mutism, and gender identity/gender transition.
Sessions with Sam Taylor, are conducted either at the child's school or via telehealth. Schools in the Western suburbs of Adelaide are preferred.
