Laura considers it a privilege to collaborate with children, adults & families who are experiencing a range of emotional, behavioural & relationship problems to harness their own strengths & optimise well-being. She values empathy, respect, authenticity, humour, as well as cultural sensitivity & inclusivity in her practice. Laura has worked in the public & private health systems for over twenty years, in both inpatient & outpatient settings. She uses an integrative, evidence-based approach to empowering her clients to make meaningful, sustained change. This approach draws on principles from Attachment Theory, Parent Management Training, Family Systems Theory, CBT, ACT & EMDR. Laura is also a trained Family Therapist, certified Parent-Child Interaction (PCIT) Therapist, Circle of Security Parenting Facilitator & a Level 1 Gottman Method Couples Therapist.
