Nicole has extensive experience in delivery of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy techniques, but is most passionate about Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and mindful-based approaches due to the focus on valued living over symptom reduction, thus encouraging people to focus their energy and time on achieving desired, life goals and not on the issues and obstacles in their lives. More recent somatic, neurobiological or brain-based paradigms have further added support to these mindful models of therapy and Nicole enjoys integrating the models into therapy with her clients to improve outcomes. Nicole has had experience in providing successful evidence-based therapy in a variety of settings to child, adolescent and adult clients in individual couple and group formats with presenting problems including depressive and anxiety-related difficulties, stress, trauma, parenting and child behavioural difficulties, chronic pain, interpersonal difficulties, grief and loss, and other adjustment issues.
