Mindfulness-based cognitive behaviour therapy (ACT/CBT/Schema Therapy/MET) can effectively address unhelpful patterns of thinking & behaviour, & underlying character traits. Coping demands life on life's terms: presence, attentiveness & availability to ourselves, our relationships & the needs & values that sustain both; a better ability to live with ourselves - 'going with' not 'in resistance to' life's challenges.
