Michael Schauer, Principal of NQ Psychology Services P/L

Michael completed his postgraduate studies in Clinical and Educational Psychology at the University of Freiburg/Germany in 1980. Following years of travel he fell in love with Tropical North Queensland where he settled with his family in Townsville in 1987. Michael has always been keen to find challenge and personal growth in his work to the benefit of his clients. Through continuous professional development he is looking for better and more effective ways to help clients on their personal journey.

Over the last 15 years he has discovered ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) as a great tool to find greater fulfilment in one�s personal and professional life. He also has found renewed interest in EMDR and transformational chair work; helping clients with major trauma and stress issues.
