APS College
Overview
SMART Work Design is an Australian developed methodology built on decades of research. Join us for this interactive event to hear more about what it is, why it matters and how you can apply it for your own job and for others.
We are extremely fortunate to have Dr. Caroline Knight here in Queensland at the UQ Business School. As one of the key contributors to this work, she is expert in explaining it, applying it and measuring the outcomes for employee health, safety and wellbeing as a result.
Psychosocial risk management often defaults to training people to cope with poorly designed work, rather than considering work redesign as a mechanism for preventing and managing psychosocial risks at their source. Take this opportunity to explore this topic both with an expert and with your colleagues to build your own understanding.
By the end of the session, you will have greater insight into how work design can be used as a practical approach to psychosocial risk management and how redesigning work to make it SMARTer can promote health, engagement, and higher performance for yourself and the teams you work with.
The event will be in hybrid mode so that our regional colleagues can join in. It will commence with the opportunity to meet and network with friends and colleagues and light refreshments for those attending in person.
As always, we appreciate the support of the UQ Centre for Business and Organisational Psychology (CBOP) to deliver this event to the Org Psych community.
Please note: The event will be in hybrid mode so that our regional colleagues can join in. It will commence with the opportunity to meet and network with friends and colleagues and light refreshments for those attending in person. Please ensure you choose the St Lucia registration option for in-person attendance and the Online registration option if you will join in virtually.
