Overview
Join us for an evening of networking, learning and delicious food on 11/11/2025 at Melt CBD in Adelaide. We have been fortunate to engage Dr Christian Nelson whose presentation will highlight innovative psychotherapies designed to address the unique psychological needs of cancer patients. It will showcase Adult Development Therapy for older adults with cancer, focusing on developmental and existential concerns. The presentation will also describe a program for testicular cancer survivors that emphasizes goal planning and emotional regulation to support recovery. In addition, it will present the use of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help men with prostate cancer cope with sexual side effects and reengage in meaningful aspects of life. Together, these case studies demonstrate how tailored psychotherapies can enhance coping, improve mental health, and advance supportive oncology care.
