About the presenter(s)
Ben Keyworth is an experienced lawyer in Russell Kennedy’s Family Law team. Having worked as a Judge’s Associate and Deputy Associate in the Federal Circuit Court in the Family Law and General Division, Ben is familiar with the Court system, how it operates and its expectations. As a result, Ben is able to provide advice and represent clients confidently and strategically as they navigate their way through their Family Law property and/or parenting matters.
As an advocate, Ben is experienced in preparing for and representing client’s both in and out of the Court room, whether it be at a mediation, round table conference, interim hearing or final hearing. With a background in pro-bono work in the community legal sector, Ben is also conscious of the human and holistic side of disputes and strives to resolve matters in a positive, practical, timely and cost-effective manner. Ben is qualified as an Independent Children’s Lawyer and is proud to be part of Russell Kennedy’s continued efforts to advocate on behalf of vulnerable children.
Simone Green is a Principal in the Russell Kennedy Family Law team and is an Accredited Specialist in Family Law with the Law Society of NSW and with the Law Institute of Victoria, with over 20 years of experience as a Family Law Solicitor in all areas of Family Law practice.
Simone regularly drafts and advises on Binding Financial Agreements and other areas of family law ranging from negotiating amicable to highly contentious and complex settlements for both financial and parenting disputes.
Simone is also skilled family law litigator for those cases which are unable to be resolved without judicial intervention.
Additionally, Simone is trained in Interdisciplinary Collaborative Practice and is an active member of Collaborative Professionals NSW, the Central Sydney Collaborative Forum and Australian Association of Collaborative Professionals and is passionate about resolving disputes wherever possible and maximizing the best outcome for her clients and their families.
Simone is also an Independent Children’s Lawyer, representing the interests of children in contentious and high-risk Family Law proceedings. Additionally, Simone has a passion for mentoring family lawyers in her role as an adjunct lecturer for the College of Law Family Law Masters program.
