Organiser Banner

Overview

The APS hosts this activity with the APS Psychology and Ageing Interest Group (PAIG).

Australia’s older population is growing and although many older adults experience healthy ageing, there is a significant proportion who experience a mental health or neurological condition. High rates of depression, anxiety, loneliness and dementia are well recognised in this population. This webinar focuses on providing psychological services to older adults across home, hospital and residential care settings. It will focus broadly on the commonalities and differences in practices across these areas as well as what works by exploring common mental health conditions, assessments, evidenced-based treatments, consent to treatment and working systemically.
