Identifying and working with victims of stalking

Organiser Banner

Overview

Stalking is a complex phenomenon and involves a repeated pattern of unwanted and intrusive behaviour which may be reasonably expected to cause fear in a victim. As it involves a pattern of behaviour instead of a single stand-alone act, it is often misidentified by victims and professionals. Stalking can occur in the context of the end of an intimate relationship, but can also occur in other situations — such as harassment directed at professionals.

This webinar will support practitioners in identifying stalking, noting the typologies of stalkers and providing psychological care to victims. It is designed to support mental health professionals to identify and work with individuals who are being stalked.
