APS Professional development
Overview
The APS hosts this webinar with the APS Positive Psychology Interest Group.
Psychologists are increasingly interested in strategies that treat mental ill health and that promote positive mental health. The field of positive psychology aims to support this full continuum approach by exploring 'positively deviated' pathways that enable vitality and flourishing.
Systems Informed Positive Psychology (SIPP) suggests that well-being occurs at the individual, group, and systems levels. Understanding how a system functions, reacts to, and interacts, to build and maintain well-being can help psychologists to promote more widespread and sustained well-being at multiple levels.
This webinar aims to:
-
provide psychologists with the latest scientific findings relating to Systems Informed Positive Psychology (SIPP),
-
provide approaches that can be adopted to foster Collective Well-being, and
-
demonstrate a framework for how system-level well-being can be conceptualised within a specific context of a school classroom.
