APS College of Clinical Psychologists Student Research Travel Award is designed to acknowledge and promote research excellence in clinical psychology, by enabling postgraduate (PhD, Doctorate, or Masters) clinical psychology students to attend and present their research at international and national conferences. The award provides each student awardee with $800 towards conference registration/travel expenses. Please note: up to 10 awards will be provided in 2025.
Nominations will be called for annually using APS Digital Communication Channels.
Students can self-nominate for the award.
Applications must be submitted using the APS Member Groups Nomination Portal. A nomination requires the Award applicant to agree to the eligibility requirements as stated above and provide the following information:
The name, date, and location of the conference the student plans to attend.
A description of the student’s research project that is planned to be presented at the conference (max 300 words).
A description of how attendance at the conference is relevant to the student’s goals and is likely to help their career (max 300 words).
The nominee’s curriculum vitae (max 4 pages).
Proof of current enrolment in a postgraduate clinical psychology course (PhD, Doctorate, or Masters) at an Australian tertiary institution (e.g., an academic transcript, letter of proof of enrolment, etc.).
Nominations close on the 30 November.
