APS assessment for employment

The APS provides assessment of psychology qualifications for employment purposes and for persons who do not plan to work as a registered psychologist.

Your employer may request you undergo an APS assessment of psychology qualifications for employment purposes. This assessment may not be used for registration as a psychologist.

Your employer may request the APS assessment as many psychology graduates work in higher education or fields related to psychology (such as research, human resources, social services) where registration as a psychologist may not be required.
